Intramural Sports
What We Offer
Welcome to the Intramural Sports program at the ASU Polytechnic campus. We have a dynamic line up of activities for everyone of all skill levels. Our goal is to make it fun for ASU students and give you an opportunity to participate and enjoy athletic activities with your fellow students.
Who Can Play?
Any ASU student, as well as any person with a PAC membership (see policy limitations). You can form a team of your own or enter a league as a Free Agent. As a Free Agent the Intramural Staff will assist you in being placed on a team.
What do you win?
Well for starters, bragging rights! You even get our famous Intramural T-shirts. For several events you get the opportunity to play against the best from the other ASU campuses (flag football, 3v3 Basketball, 5v5 Basketball.)
What is the difference between Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs?
Intramural Sports are activities in which ASU student teams compete against other student teams from ASU. Intramural Sports provide a great opportunity for a competitive atmosphere without having to be committed to weekly practices or a recreational experience with limited commitment.
Club Sports are organized teams that compete against other colleges and universities. The clubs have practices on a regular basis and often have team dues.
Need a job? Work for Intramural Sports!
There are many opportunities for employment in the Intramural Sports program. Please check the Student Employment page to see our latest job openings.
Each semester we typically hire new officials. However, your best chance for a job is as an official. Once you have learned the basics of officiating and put them into practice, employment opportunities exist as supervisors and managers of sports activities. These positions focus on managing sports events and require advanced human relations skills.
Why officiate Intramurals?
The intramural staff is a close group of employees who really enjoy working with one another as they participate in this active campus job. It's an exciting way to earn money with an on-campus job and learn a lot about the rules and mechanics of officiating major sports! Learning the skills of this life-long avocation has many rewards.
