Campus Recreation at the Downtown Phoenix Campus is possible through a partnership between the Downtown Phoenix Campus, the Lincoln Family YMCA and the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation.
Collectively, we are committed to bringing the Downtown Phoenix Community together through recreational
sports activities that are competitive, safe and FUN!
- Campus Recreation is dedicated to providing opportunities for students to participate in a wide variety of recreational activities.
- Intramural Sports range from Flag Football to Bowling; Kickball to Soccer.The IM Schedule includes opportunities for
- intra (within) mural (the wall) and extramural competition, in which DPC teams play against other campuses and other
- universities in basketball and flag football.
- Fitness Classes include Athletic Conditioning, Group Cycling, Cardio Box, Yoga, Zumba and more. Check out the Group
- Fitness Schedule for times and days of each.
- Aquatics. If you like to swim, check out the YMCA Pool. In addition to open swim times, the Y offers Group and Private
- Swim Lessons, Swim Stroke Clinics, and Water Fitness Classes.
- Informal Recreation, also referred to as Drop-In Play, provides students an opportunity to drop by the YMCA and shoot
- hoops, swim, hit the cardio equipment or pump iron in an unstructured and informal way. All it takes on your part is the
- desire to do it (and your Y membership card).
- Club Sports are a great way for students to connect with other students while playing a game or activity they love.
- Club Sports opportunities are unlimited, and include a walking club, swimming club, dance clubs, volleyball, basketball and more.

Our partners at the City of Phoenix provide outdoor fields for intramural and informal play.
- University Park (link to map) hosts flag football, soccer and softball leagues in addition to numerous one- day events.
- Margaret Hance Park (link to map) hosts sand volleyball, kickball and other activities that do not require lights (as there are none).

Your campus recreation fee allows access [with student Sun Card] to any of the four campus recreation programs and facilities. Each campus may have different hours and/or equipment. Please call or stop by the facility to review what is available to you.
